The Gala Committee is thrilled to announce that over $30,000 was raised at the comedy event held on April 2! This is no laughing matter! Thanks to our generous sponsors, our lively audience, and our hilarious comedians, the Traf Bursary Fund is $22,000 richer, the drama and physical education departments have gained $5,000, and this year’s chosen charity,
Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre, will have a $3,000 cheque presented to them at an upcoming assembly.
We thank all of you who were involved this year…from the 225 guests who attended to the team of volunteers who made it all happen! The School is truly appreciative of your support. Special thanks go to Stephanie London, Chair, and Wanda Kagan, Auction Coordinator, and the team of dedicated volunteer parents.
As Mr. Dowd asked in the event program, “How do you spell relief?”. Well, these funds will provide much-needed monetary relief, especially in these economic times! Thank you to the entire Traf Community for your involvement!
