Thank you for visiting the Trafalgar School for Girls website. You have arrived here because you are considering an all-girls education for your daughter in an atmosphere that supports and shapes her academic and personal potential.
As a Trafalgar Old Girl (Class of ’92), with fond memories of my five years at Traf, I can testify to the breadth of opportunities and individual attention offered each student, both then and now. I have first-hand experience of how Trafalgar’s caring, nurturing environment served to develop my classmates into confident, capable, community-minded professional women.
I also have first-hand experience in choosing a school for my son and daughter, and know that it can be a daunting experience.
My role is to answer any questions you may have and to support you and guide you through the process.
The National Coalition of Girls Schools has produced an excellent video that speaks volumes on the statistical evidence about the benefits of an all-girls education. You can check out the video below.
Application to Grade 7 is normally made in the early fall of the year prior to the desired year of entry.
Applications to higher grades can be made at any time and are handled on an individual basis.
Please submit the completed application along with supporting documentation to the Admissions Office as soon as possible. Please note that a Certificate of Eligibility (Quebec authorization for English Education) is required. Once the application forms and necessary documents are received, an admissions visit date will be arranged at a convenient time for you and your daughter. This visit will include the entrance evaluation, a meeting with our Head of School, and the opportunity to experience a few classes designed for our visiting students.
Should you be interested in transferring to Trafalgar from another high school, please contact me. We are here to make the transition a smooth one.
