FINLAND TRIP

Our intrepid travellers have returned from their trip to Finland and Estonia with fond memories and lots of chocolate in their luggage. A portion of the 10-day trip was dedicated to exchanging with English and French learners at our host school. The topics discussed included culture, traditions and education. When not in school, our afternoon and evenings were a whirlwind of activities. The students enjoyed an afternoon of ice swimming and sauna followed by a BBQ in a kota (cabin). We also visited a chocolate factory and enjoyed the all-you-can-eat chocolate and candy buffet. Other visits included the Ateneum museum, the fabulous Heureka Science museum, and a visit to Suomenlinna. We also went on a day trip to Tallinn, Estonia. Students also had the opportunity to spend an evening with a family from our host school, Sotungi Lukio, and try local dishes. And of course, we went to see a hockey game.  Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
